All SEM images from this website were transfered to Ecotaxa (https://ecotaxa.obs-vlfr.fr/) to promote collaborative work on plankton identification. Four Ecotaxa projects were created combining images from all research cruises in order to search more easily for taxa within each key functional group.

Light microscopy images will follow at a later stage. I welcome any collaboration on these image datasets, if you spot mistakes or would like to improve annotations down to the species level, I can provide annotation rights for the considered database. I am also keen on adding new images and new taxa to these ongoing image bases, for a better geographical and taxonomic coverage.
